Gujo City
Gujo City is located in the middle of Gifu Prefecture and surrounded by nature. Gujo Hachiman Area is a popular sightseeing spot in Gujo. You can see many historical buildings and channels. You can hear water running everywhere in the town. There are Sogi Sui Shrine that is listed as one of Japan's 100 Remarkable Waters.
Gujo Hachiman Castle
Gujo Hachiman Castle is the Japan's oldest wooden resconstruction Castle. The current castle rebuilt in 1933. You can see spectacular view of the surrounding castle town. The castle tower has been designated as Gujo's important cultural property, and the whole area of the ruins of the castle has been designated as a national historic site.
Gujo Odori
Gujo is Japan's one of the biggest "Odori" dance towns. The traditional dancing culture of Gujo is dating from the Edo period. The dance season is from mid July to the beginning of September. People of all ages can enjoy Gujo odori.
